As a private customer, you are automatically eligible for a commuter discount when you drive across the Storebælt Bridge more than 14 times in one month. No upfront payment is required and you will never pay for more than you use.
You will automatically qualify for a discount with a bizz or with number plate payment. If you’re eligible for other discounts, you will get these too.

If you have a bizz, you can switch between two cars in the same category in one month.
The automatic discount makes it easy for you to live on one side of the bridge and work on the other side.
If you commute across the bridge more than 14 times in one month, you will automatically qualify for a commuter discount.
You will pay the normal price for automatic payment for the first 14 trips in a calendar month. If you commute more than this in one month, there will be no charge.
If you make more than 50 trips in one calendar month, you will pay the normal price for automatic payment once again.
If you commute in a standard car, the price is DKK 196 per trip for the first 14 trips in one calendar month when you drive on weekdays during the daytime. After this, you will pay DKK 0 for the rest of the month. If you commute more than 50 times in one month, you will pay DKK 196 per trip once again.
For example, if you work 22 days in one month, you will pay DKK 2,744 for one month.
Remember that as a commuter you are entitled to tax relief when you commute across the bridge, which means that your actual cost is lower. The calculator below shows you exactly what the commuter discount means for you. You can also see what it will cost you per trip both before and after the tax relief.
you pay by bizz or by number plate
If you have a bizz or are registered for number plate payment from Brobizz, you will automatically qualify for the discount. There is no need to register and you will only pay for the trips you make. If you have a bizz or are registered for number plate payment with ØresundPay or another issuer, you should check with your issuer whether your Storebælt agreement is linked to it.
You must pay with the same method on all trips, i.e. either with a bizz or by number plate.
If you use a bizz, you can freely switch between two cars in one calendar month. This makes it easy and flexible if you are a two-car household. If you pay by number plate, only one car qualifies for an automatic commuter discount in one calendar month.
you have no other agreements
As a private customer, you are eligible for an automatic commuter discount if you don’t already have a Storebælt Agreement for Disabled Drivers or a Storebælt Business Agreement.
If you are entitled to a weekend or evening discount, you will be eligible for this on trips where you pay more than DKK 0.
The number of journeys and discount are calculated for a calendar month from the 1st day of the month up to and including the last day of the month.
You will have received an email from Brobizz setting out what you have to do until 1 May 2023 when the new commuter discount comes into effect. You can also read more on this page at Brobizz.com.
If you have a bizz, you are free to use the bizz in two different cars in a calendar month.
The first two cars that you use to drive across the bridge in one month qualify for the commuter discount. At the start of a new month, it is again the first two cars you use to drive across the bridge that will qualify for the commuter discount.
If you have registered for number plate payment, you only get the commuter discount for the car whose number plate is registered in the system.
Just take a holiday! There’s no need to notify anyone and if you make less than 14 trips in a calendar month, you only pay for the trips you make.
Yes certainly. You should be aware, however, that you cannot automatically switch between a motorbike and a car within the same calendar month as the two vehicles fall into different pricing categories.
If you wish to be able to use both your motorbike and car and have all your trips included when we calculate the automatic discount, you must contact Storebælt’s customer service.
You can then choose to drive your motorbike at the same price as your car and then all your trips will count when the commuter discount is calculated.
Yes, you can get a special bridge deduction if you’re a commuter across the Storebælt Bridge. The commuting calculator above shows you the price you pay and the actual cost after tax relief. You can also read more about tax relief at skat.dk
As a business customer, you can’t automatically get a commuter discount. Instead, you are eligible for a commuter agreement for business. Brobizz A/S is currently the only issuer of Pendler Erhverv (Commuter Business). You must therefore be registered with Brobizz A/S and sign up for a Commuter Agreement Business.
